Sex and the City - Carrie's apartment stoop - where is it?

Question

Can anyone help? I did a Sex and the City tour last time I was in NY and we went to the apartment that was used as Carrie's stoop - did the touristy thing and had my photo taken on the steps but I can't remember where it was! I think it was the lower west side - does anyone know the street?

It was in the Village, if I remember correctly, a few blocks from the Hudson River.

I did the tour, too, and I just can't recall the street name. But I remember there was a playground near there.
