My oldest son Jonah (3) always throw fits while my youngest Noah (10 months) is real mellow. I try to take them for walks, but out of the blue my son Jonah throw's fits about going. Noah loves the walks. I put my oldest in time out, but then I can't take Noah on the walk. I've tryed later but he does it all over again. I have no one to watch Jonah so Noah don't feel like he's punished. So now I'm woundering how I punish Jonah ( while he is screaming and kicking) and not make Noah feel he is in trouble too. He is too young to understand.

They both don't like anything together. Noah sill can't walk or stand. I don't believe in hitting a child. There's no learning it that. It's child abuse waiting to happen.

Why not find something that your older son likes to do, and go do that with both kids? Your 10 month old probably won't care what you're doing, as long as you're doing SOMETHING.

Don't look at it as "How to punish the older son" but more like "How do I find something BOTH kids enjoy?"

It's not all negative, you know. :o) Life's all about perspective.

Try ACTUALLY punishing him instead of timeouts. A good spanking never hurt anyone and it drives the point home. 3 years old is too young to expect a kid to "think about his actions", but a spanking will get the idea across.
