The "Good old days" were the days we remember when we are older when we trusted that the good guys would always win. When we believed if we treat people good they will treat us the same. When we played all day and our biggest worry was when Mom would call us for dinner and if the boy/girl we liked would like us back.

Get up and go out to the barn. Pour the cow some sweet feed to keep her occupied (hopefully), get the stool, pail, and rag. Wipe her udder. Watch out for her tail and right rear hoof. Milk her and take it to the women in the house. (the human house). Go to the chicken house and let the chickens out. Gather up the eggs. Watch the one that is setting. Remember that schoolteacher said people sit and lie and that hens set and lay. Hot biscuits, real butter, cane syrup, eggs, grits, biscuits (asked for more Please) gravy, bacon, sausage, coffee, sweet milk, you get the idea. After you eat you finish your chores and go to the school house. Walked. Yeah, it was uphill both ways. There was a lot of bad stuff later, but it was good for a little while and that is what I want to, and do, remember.

Hello (((((((Fuzzy Tail!)))))))
The good old days for me were the 50's..when I was a child.. :)
I could play in my neighbors yard, without ever worrying, that my mom may get sued, if I fell and hurt myself.. :)
My friends I would run in the woods and play hide and seek..without my mom even having any thought, that I might be abducted by a pedophile.. :)
Where children would play make believe and get fresh air outside..instead of staying inside and playing Dungeon & Dragons on the TV all day long.. :)
You could really "smell the flowers", without having pestisides sprayed all over them.. :)
When the whole family got together for supper every nite.. :)
When the family would go for Sunday drives..just so they could spend time together.. :)
When "1 cent" would buy me a peice of bubblegum..and "5 cents" would buy a soda..
Oh and how I remember, when they had penny candy.. :)
To go to a movie only cost only 25 cents..
Yes..those were the Good Old Days.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With ~Love~ your "Friend" In Christ.. :)

There were never any "good old days." Unless you count the first few days before Adam & Eve did the rest of us in, and i wasn't alive then so i couldn't say what they were like.
Interesting, though, that you would put this on the religion & spirituality page....

Any day that is behind you is a good old day........... in the 50's and 60's which is where I was from... it was great.... loved the first tv, first cartoon show, hoola hoops, sock hops, NO computers, kids played outside... family dinners every Sunday.... lots of get-togethers with family and friends... I sure miss alot of that.......... this really got me to thinking....... there is much my kids missed....... such an easier time of life........ those were MY good old days........ unlike my parents or grandparents day........ those werent always so good....... as they used to tell me.........

The good old days are someone's selective memories of a time when things were different, and 'better'.

The 'good ole days' where when I was young, carefree without a worry in the world except where my next penny mix up was coming from and that was back in the 80s - god I LOVED the 80s - it was the best decade ever to be young and growing up in!!!!

The good old days are the ones that you remember when life was less complex.

For me, the good ole days would be from...oh, 1943-1962 or so. Good times. Good people. That's the time period I'd most want to live in. Everything was the way it should be.

It's any time that it seems things were easier, and we had fewer worries. Of course at the time we don't realize those are the good old days.
