Rumor has it that his (Dale Jr.) new number will be 88. But there's also a rumor that it will be going to Kvapil. So here's a question... what will Ricky Rudd's number be? Or is he going back into retirement?

Actually, if you were watching the pre-race of the truck race yesterday, Travis Kvapil let it slip out. He announced that he was going to Yates racing and they were working out the bugs with the sponsor. He also said that they were deciding on a number. That only meant one thing, that Jr. was getting the 88!!! NASCAR, it's a way of life!!!

I think it will be the number #88 Mountain Dew car, I think they will show it maybe on some future racing shows, And think Casey Mears will drive the #5 Kelloggs car next year.

Yes, they also said on the pre race it was one of the worst kept secrets in NASCAR. Junior is going to be #88, it's just not 'officially' being announced until later in the week.
