No, because asking someone to pray for you has absolutely nothing to do with mediation. Praying on behalf of another person is called intercession, not mediation. Mediation is defined as the intervention by a third party, to repair a broken relationship between two other parties. Jesus did this, fully and completely, once and for all time, on the Cross. Therefore He is the only Mediator. But all Christians, both on earth and in heaven, are called to be intercessors.

no. The Bible says when two or more are in agreement Christ is in your midst. The person is praying to Jesus for you. Thats different than praying to mary, peter, paul, or lets say if your mom or dad has died , asking them to pray for you.
