You definately need to contact the vet that did the surgery. He could have some complications. Don't waste your time here, call the vey emergency number and get answers from the source.

yes, it sounds like an infection not necessarily a urinary tract but possibly infection in or on the area itself. I would have the vet check him out, do a urine sample as well to check for crystals.

He could have a blockage in his urethra. A kidney stone could be lodged in there. Is he neutered?? If not, his prostate could have a tumor in it. There are so many things it could be. It could be a urinary tract infection too. The only way to know is to see your vet.

You need a vet's advice...not to be funny, but then you need to call your vet. Y!A is not a replacement for, and does not provide online vet services. This site is comprised of other members, like yourself. Some just happen to have more experience.

It sounds like a UTI, but regardless, your mom's dog needs to be seen by a professional.

is he trying to urinate frequently and only little comes out? Is he nuetered? any increase or decrease in ammount of fluid intake? Does it look like he is in pain when urinating? Is there blood in the urine? is there any visible signs on the exterior of the penis and genital region of irratation? please post more... best bet is bring him to a vet and not waste time on YA.

Wow. He sure seems to be hurting. Have you watched him urinate to see if he yelps when he starts? Anyway he sure does need to see a vet ASAP.
