Can anyone recommend a good shoe for pavement running..
I've always loved Asics.. Are there any new fangled shoes on the market these days that provide excellent support ?

My best advice is don't get hooked on a certain brand. Each season, the sneaker companies come out with new styles and designs .... meaning that the construction is slightly different. I think you should try on many different types and find the one that fits your foot well and gives you all the support that you need in various regions of your feet.
What is considered excellent support to me might not work for you b/c our feet are different.
I used to always swear by Nike, but I've been wearing a lot of New Balance for the past few years. Give everything a whirl in the store and settle on what is good for you.
Good luck!

i personally enjoy the Nike triax+ 10's because they have a nice amount of cushion but have support to keep you from pronating. the asics 2120 is also a very well put together shoe. try those out they should be great.

I love Mizuno, personally. It's all about personal preference, though. Go to a specialized running shoe store, and have them fit you. They're much more reliable than a Foot Locker or something.
