Those atrocities committed by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam... I meant it must have awful to have been one of the masses of people that they ruthlessly murdered... but that was hundreds of years ago (mostly anyway, even though there are still extremist holdouts)...

but seriously, persecuting the religious people today isn't going to bring back the dead and anyone who says we should honor their memories are nothing but fools...

I know of very few people personally who were tortured and killed at the feet of religion...

So why not just laugh instead and say "oh, well",

just as long as we make sure it doesn't happen again...

We laugh that we may not weep.

Laughing is really assinine. Tears are more appropriate.

People are still suffering at the hands of religious zealouts to this day. It is not a laughing matter! Homes are torn apart, children are killed, men and women are tortured, sometimes to death. If you count "atheism" as a source of religious "zeal", then the body count gets even higher!

Laughter is NEVER appropriate when people suffer, not even centuries afterward. It is sick and disgusting!

That's just it....it is all too possible that the lines WILL be crossed again, and that religion will lead to yet more bloodshed (look at the underlying conflict occuring in the war in Iraq as we speak...).

The fact that millions of people have innocently died is not something to laugh at. It should teach people that killing over religion is ignorant.

You may brush it off as unimportant, or vaguely ignore it, but why would you ever laugh at it?

Thats just a little bit psychotic don't you think?

if such terrible atrocities can be made uin the name of religion, then how can those religions be correct? the God of Judo-Christian-Islamic beliefs repeatedly tells his followers to kill those who do not believe or convert to their religion
