You think God gains anything through our worship and obedience?? God needs nothing, and there is nothing we could give Him that would improve His existence. The opportunity to worship and obey Him is a gift that benefits no-one except ourselves. And what a benefit! Eternal happiness! Unless of course we are fool enough to reject His offer.

Wouldn't YOU like millions of little creatures all worshipping you? But since there's hundreds of references to burnt sacrifices in the Bible, I think God just wants some lamb BBQ. And now that we don't do that anymore, he's gone off to create some more people on another planet who DO still like lamb BBQ.

We did not decide to have children so they would worship us, but we would like them to respect and obey us.
We had them to expand our circle of love.
Maybe this is why God decided to create us.
And what does he get? Slapped in the face with disrespect and unbelief.
If you treated your parents the way you treat God, how much "love" do you think they would show you?

God is not insecure in anyway.
He if perfect in every way.
He has no flaw in Him, therefore He isnt insecure.
The reason that He created us is He wanted a relationship with us. Not just US loving Him and doing what He said, but HIM loving us, Him blessing us and revealing Himself to us.
Just like we want to have a relationship with our friends not just THEY always talk and always tell us where we go hang out and what we to and how things work, but we want a realtionship where BOTH of us can share whats on our hearts and love eachother.
:-D

why is that bad? God can do whatever He wants to. Its an equal benefit. God gets His glory and we get to know God. I'd take that anyday.

A bigger question is: why do you think that makes Him insecure?
