I know what "Kotoba" is but what is "koto" Thanks if you Know.

kotoba = language, word, compliment, speech

koto (=iu) = say, tell, speak, talk

There are a lot of uses for "koto"

Example: "Nihon no koto" is "about Japan" as in I can tell you "about Japan."

But "koto" is also found in a lot of set expressions and grammatical phrases so you'll have to be more specific if you want an exact translation.

It's a musical (stringed) instrument. A Koto-ryu is where they teach students how to play the instrument.

"Koto" is also shorthand for a group which plays the koto.

Well, if you say kotO, it means thing or matter, basically.
But if you say it KOto it's a kind of Japanese harp.

Hajimemashite means "nice to meet you." It's literally something along the lines of "this is the first time" as in the first time meeting someone. It's usually followed with "Dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu" which doesn't have an English translation, and is difficult to approximate, but means something like "please treat me well" or "let's have a good relationship." Really hard to translate...
