Ok, sorry, stomach is a critical spot. I watched way too many movies where they get shot in the stomach, but somehow, doesn't seem very serious. I know you can't really die by getting shot in the legs or arms, but maybe somewhere close to your chest.

That depends...if a bullet enter and ricochets then there is no telling (what internal injuries it caused until treated). Also the body has a lot of arteries that can cause you to bleed out if not treated right away. If just shot in the leg and they treat in time there should be no reason why they die unless the wound get a major infection.
Depends on how close you were shot at from and the caliber of the bullet.

The stomach is a critical place to be shot. Besides the chance of hitting arteries the perforation of needed organs such as the intestines can cause peritonitis. Nearly any spot can be critical depending on the angle and ricochet of the bullet. The caliber of the bullet also plays a large part.

The stomach? You cannot be serious. Where exactly do you think you keep little things like your liver, intestines, and other fun stuff? As an Army medic, I'll tell ya this. The single most painful, and yet slowest way to die is being gut-shot.

Your gut is full of things that you don't want punctured by a bullet. A hole in the stomach releases acids and enzymes and undigested food into your body. At hole in the intestine releases poisonous waste products. People die all the time from punctured kidneys or ruptured spleens.

If the bullet missed all of that stuff, you'd still bleed. You would go into shock. You don't get help-you may die of that alone.

The Hollywood image of a man taking a bullet, shaking it off and taking out six or seven bad guys is a total fantasy.

Heck, you can go into shock from Donating blood at the Red Cross. That's why they feed you cookies and juice and don't let you get up until your color comes back.

A stomach wound is critical if you don't get aid for it. You can bleed to death or stomach acids can leak into the abdominal cavity causing all kinds of problems.

OTOH a gunshot wound in some areas, like a leg, if you manage to not get it infected, is not critical and you can live with it, although you will probably limp.
