Laylat-al-Qadr, the Night of Power, marks the night in which the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by Allah through angel Gabriel. This event occurred during the last third of the month of Ramadan. The 27th day is considered the traditional date for this event, but the exact date is not known. It is considered to be either on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or 29th of the month of Ramadan.
Muslims regard this as the most important event in history, and the Quran says that this night is better than a thousand months. It is believed that on this night the angels descend to earth. This is a time that Muslims spend in study and prayer. It is also a good time to ask for forgiveness.
There is a sura in the Quran called "Al-Qadr." You can find a description of this sura on this website: http://www.mounthira.com/learning/surah/097-al-qadr/. It also recites the sura in Arabic and explains each verse in English.
You can also find other verses in the Quran about Laylat-al-Qadr on this website: http://www.jannah.org/ramadan/1.html
I hope this helps! I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have. Ramadan kareem...

Salam alaikum, peace. Read the Surah of Lailat-il-Qadr or the Night of Power Or the Night of Power!!
This is indeed is the Twenty Seventh night of the Ninth month of the Muslim calendar, when the Quran was revealed to the Prophet of Islam and the Grand Communication began between Allah SWT and our Prophet.
It is also the night when the orders for each year are passed down to the Twelfth Imam of the Muslims, who receives the orders and they are implemented through the year.
Read Surah -e- Inna Anzalna in the Quran (Surah No. 97).
The Grandeur
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
[97.1] Surely We revealed it on the grand night.
[97.2] And what will make you comprehend what the grand night
[97.3] The grand night is better than a thousand months.
[97.4] The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair,
[97.5] Peace! it is till the break of the morning.
May Allah help us all in achieving higher levels of closeness to the Almighty. Ameen.

The whole Qur’an was brought down in its entirety during the Night of Qadr. That's why that night is so special and full with blessings. Here the verse about it...
"Surely We revealed it (the Holy Quran) on the grand night. And what will make you comprehend what the grand night. The grand night is better than a thousand months. The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, Peace! It is till the break of the morning." (97:1-5)

lalat alqadr ( night of decree) is like an incentive to pray more because we know that it's one the last ten nights of ramadhan, but not certain that it's 27th , so we should pray more .
