Flintguy - that is why we have the Bible. We are separated from God by sin, which he cannot accept. I am not arrogant, I know God through his word, not what I say.

Nomrom - I am happily married. There are those who take God at his word, and those who convolute his word for their purposes - maybe we can see some of each.

John M - have you read Philemon? It does not endorse slavery... it is about the story of a slave and his master, who were close friends and shared in God together.
The Bible repeatedly speaks of slavery being evil, and the value of freedom.

Not acceptable, forgivable. It's different. And all those who think that it's unforgivable really do not know the word of God. Not well enough, and no matter who they are and what level of education they have received.
God forgives all of us IF we trust Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus set the parameters, and He can be trusted more than any Fundie.

Some of us simply don't care what Romans Chapter One has to say about it.
If people want to cherry-pick Bible verses to justify their petty bigotry, let 'em go for it. The Bible says a lot of things! Check out 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-12 on the second-class status of women, for example.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
It is painfully obvious from the answers received that God's word is true.
In His Service,
John the Baptist

Just had the fun of reading it and the synopsis seems to be that if you reject the word of God then you become a bottom bandit. Well whoever wrote that chapter is a Genesis 38:9.

Homosexuality in of itself is not a sin, but to act on the feeling is. God has given man the free will to live by His law's. God does not beg us to Love Him its our choice. Acting out on your homosexual desires is not loving God. Sex is between a man and woman to bring life into this world. Its not for pure pleasure and enjoyment wether between two men or two women or between a married couple. Our sexuality is blessed gift that God has given us. To have sex outside of a sacred marriage is a sin no matter what. To have sex outside of marriage is for your own pure pleasure and lust, which breaks the 1 st commandment. because at the time of lust you are worshiping that person.
God does not hate or make anyone the way they feel or believe, that is our own. God only loves all of his creation. He did not make me or anyone else gay. It is our own choice to live this way, but it is also our own choice to realize that living in the homosexual lifestyle is wrong and against God will for us. Homosexual life is not a choice but a cross to bear, but living in the life style is a choice. As Christians we do not hate the person but hate the sin.

I agree with FlintGuy49. Are you so arrogant and proud as to believe that you alone understand God's will? How about you leave the judging to Her and stop intruding in other people's lives? Sound like a plan?

Yes.
Have you ever read the book of Philemon and still feel slavery is acceptable in God's eyes and for the believer?

Yes. But it clearly was not acceptable in the eyes of that tosser Paul. But I firmly believe that God had as much to do with the authorship of the Bible as I did.

I've read it. It's just words used in an attempt to justify prejudice and hatred. Typically self superior for the religion.

Listen up. GOD did NOT write the bible. That section of the bible was written by a man who had a crush on another guy who didn't like him so he said "I will fix him" and all of us have suffered the price ever since.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING GAY. BEING GAY IS AS NATURAL AS BEING STRAIGHT....FOR SOMEONE WHO IS GAY.
Why do you care is a more important question, possibly struggling with desires you have been told are wrong?
