She gave me pants telling me that " i wore them in highschool, 34in waist should fit "......she was 5'9 tehn and REALY thin, i'm 5'7, and chubby in the waist. Wehn i pointed that out, she said that since my arms and legs are thin(true that) it makes my waist look smaller.

I'm kinda insulted that she gave me pants that will fit BARLY and she said i'd probably need a belt.

Is this a hint that i should drop some weight or just her usualy obliviouls-ness?

Auctually, I think she's trying to do the opposite! If she was super thin in high school, and gives you pants that fit her and trys to say they're to big for you, she might be trying to make you fell better!
Of course, it also depends on her tone and how she says it, but either way, I don't think she'd be trying to tell you to lose weight!

Hmm, I guess I'd have to know how your mom is to really know what shes trying to get at, but yeah...I think she might be hinting at you shedding some pounds. As long as you are happy and healthy, then it really doesnt matter. It doesnt sound like you NEED to lose anything though...who isnt a little chubby at the waist? If you feel like you want to tighten up, and lose a few inches, then go for it!
Thats what Im doing now..I used to have the most awesome abs, but now its just...Its no tlike I'm fat (I could stand to gain actually) but I just want to tone up a bit.

Do whatever you feel like you need to do. Tell your mom how you feel.

You cannot wear clothes that do not fit you. Your frame is different, so your weight distribution will be different.

If your mom is implying that you need to lose weight, see if she will take you to the doctor for an exam to see if everything is all right... blood lipids, thyroid and all that. You might as well call her out on this just to get her out of your hair.

The other thing is that you might consider walking around a couple of blocks each evening... both for the exercise and to blow off stress.

i don't think she meant it as an insult, but, just bringing something from her past out that she thought was cool. i'd just give them back to her and say thanks, but, no thanks, i just don't want them, they are yours, and, you keep them, maybe you can get back into them.
