Yeah I went to Martinsville a few years ago and these women had stayed in their car the night before and we got there at around 9 or 10 so they were just getting up and they were fixing their hair and doing their makeup using the bumper of their car for a mirror. Then they brushed their teeth and rinsed their mouth out with beer so yeah some people do camp out in their cars the night before!! And no I don't guess you would get in trouble!!

Because the state is so small and Dover is not a large city. We had our hotel in Philly, just an hour away and it was an easy drive.

Most tracks do not allow camping or sleeping in your car overnight in the parking lot.

There is a camp ground about an hour (or less) at the fairgrounds. You can bring a camper or a tent, or park your truck and sleep there. I at least recommend a tent! From there it is a very easy drive, and there are places to stop for breakfast, ice, gas, snacks, etc. before you even get near the city/race traffic.

We pulled our truck into a "free" camp ground and stayed there. The next morning we walked about 3/4 of a mile and we were there.

they do not allow over-nite camping or sleeping in the parking lot!!! and usually the infield camping is way booked in advance... see if the hotels have a list you can put your name on if someone cancels....or check hotels a liitle farther away from the track!! good luck!!

I don't think you can do that. You may have to find a campground or a hotel a little further out.
