i just bought a 05 wrangler and it has a 4 inch lift. it has 32 x 11.5 x 15 tires on 15 x 8 rims. can i put 33 x 12.5 x15 tires on these rims and if so would i have to change gears or anything else. or should i stay with the smaller size tire

a 1" change in overall diameter will slightly affect speedo calibration as well as shift points (in an auto). no gear change should be needed...
and NO, you wont void your warranty with the tire swap. you MAY have affected the warranty with the 4" lift though. only thing would be driveline components wearing/breaking due to different driveline angles...engine warranty would be unaffected.

ok i have a 03 wrangler rubicon

4 inch lift will fit 33" tires

i bet if you measure your 32" tires they will measure 30 - 31"
but for gears it depends on if it was regeared before because for 33" tires it calls for 4.10 gear ratio, yeah it will will work on stock gears but in the long run it will put wear and tear on the trans and will not last as long

it is an 05 soo you should have the 7 yr 70,000 mile drivetrain warranty
i am not shure but the lift may of voided the warranty if not oversized tires will due to too much of a load on the trans and they will say it is voided
check with the dealer about if the warranty is voided or not
if not i would have them put 4.10 gears in that way it is still under warranty and you can put the 33" tires on and be fine

i am planning on putting a 4" lift and 33" tires on my jeep but i wont haft to regear because i baught the rubicon which comes stock with 4.10 gears

hopefully that helps

well let me tell you, if you change the size you are looking at a very long committment to the type of tires you choose and the type of rims you choose, unless you don't care about in the future having to change it all back. it can get expensive. i changed my sizes on my car and now i am stuck with a certain kind of tire forever unless i do a whole re-do, which, like i said, expensive. but if you think you will really like bigger tires for a long time then by all means go for it. also, of course, you will void your warranty.
