Most likely, yes.

A person who is experiencing depression will have very few positive thoughts- and a whole horde of negative ones.

Negative thought is as much a habit as anything else. So if you are depressed, get to a counselor who can help you. And practice positive thinking.

Good luck!

Yes.

See a counselor ASAP if someone is telling you negative things all the time! And especially if anyone at all is making it a job to put you down constantly!

well pretty much ya. i was doin that too, i havent even stopped really. i have high anxiety problems and im having to get a prescription in order to help me stay calm. im not even an adult yet. my mom didnt hafta take a prescription until she was almost 50. but thinkin negative thoughts and putting yourself down all the time aint worth it, i made/make my family and friends worry bout me cuz of the threats i make to myself, like putting myself in the hostpital and all. everyone gets depressed but if you are all the time, if you have panic attacks and anxiety attacks all the time like i do, you need to get some help like me. i have a professional counselor and its working really well. but try talkin to a friend to help you out as well, cuz thats another thing i do and shes really great at it, she makes me feel really good inside when i talk to her. she tells me im a good person no matter what, and so are you. you are a great person. dont let depression bring you down. get some help ok, and maybe talk to your parents bout a safe prescription like im gonna get. its an anti-depressent/anxiety prescription that im having to get. but also talk to ppl and everything like that. youll be ok, just dont let it bring you down ok, i have faith in you and i dont even kno you lol, but i understand what your talkin bout and everything cuz im goin through it too.

Yes but it can also indicate low self esteem. You need to talk to a counsellor or psychologist about what's causing you to indulge in negative self talk and help you to come up with coping strategies and ways to build self confidence. You may need medication but in my opinion, only as a last resort when talk therapy fails.
