It usually happens when I am lying down and my stomach is empty. I will repeat, that these are not "voices" or anything mental. My husband has heard the sound before, it's similar to a growling or upset stomach but not quite so. It is not painful, but I can hear and feel it coming from my head, I've noticed that it happens when I'm hungry. I do not have an eating disorder. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

I just wanted to add that, sometimes this occurs AFTER dinner when I in the bed. I EAT more than your average woman, so if these are hunger pains than I seriously going to have more issues, if I eat everytime I get the sensation.

I have experienced 'hunger headaches' before. And they would frequently be accompanied by a kind of buzzing.

It's just your body telling you it needs food and water.

It is your body signaling that it needs food. Then get up and have something to eat and see if that noise is gone.
