If I buy it off of the internet, can my friend get it with my code and stuff? If I buy a physical version of it can my friend use it on her computer?

Word is for the use on a single computer unless you purchase a commercial multi license version.
Otherwise it is Pirating and considered to be against the LAW.

If you qualify as a student, Apple has a pretty good deal on MS Office right now: $150 for the "Student and Teacher" edition, and it allows you to install it on three computers.
