I make the real salsa. With REAL tomatoes.

-10 tomatoes
-1 med. sized onion
-2-3 cloves of garlic
-1 med. Jalepeno (use the membrane too)
-1 tsb vinegar
-about 1 tsp garlic salt

just cut up the tomatoes, onion, garlic, and jalepeno, add the vinegar and salt and let it sit for a while to let the flavors come together. Its really good. It doesn't taste hot at first, but it has an after-burn. but its really good. and im only 15 and i already have my own salsa recipe!!

first determine how hot or mild you want it this will help you figure out what peppers you will need. second figure out how much you want to figure out how much of each ingredeant you will need to get.
the hotter you want it the hotter the peppers
do the research but here is what i know
banana's and hungarian wax peppers are good for mild salsa
anihiems and jalapinoe peppers are good for medium, to low hot salsa
then you got insane hot habineoros, and scotch bonnets, and tia dragons "the peppers in general taos chicken" which if you can guess are good for hot and hotter.
as far as other things you will need onions, green bell peppers "to add sweetness" some cilantro, garlic and some viniger, and tomatoes
to start salsa
clean all the peppers, onions, and garlic
if you want deseed the hot peppers to take down heat but if you like heat don't deseed them and enjoy.
cut up the peppers, and onions to the desired size, and seat in a dish and place in the fridge
mince the garlic to fine
in one pot place all the items and bring to a boil over low heat to bring all the items together.
after boiling let it simmer so it will reduce this might take an hour or two, while this is happening taste test every so often to get it to your taste.
after cooking move to canning jars and can the salsa and let cool. the store.

This makes enough to share with someone with tortilla chips or enough for my husband to munch on while waiting for dinner.

1 large tomato cut into 4
salt pepper to taste
1 or 2 peppers (the hot kind)
1/2 of a bell pepper
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed with the garlic press
some italian seasoning if you feel like it.
1/2 to 1 onion

Put tomato in food chopper, chop, pour into bowl, do the same with the rest of of the veggies, put in bowl with tomato, salt and pepper / season to taste.

This is a fresh salsa, and has a fresh taste. Just use good ripe but firm veggies and you're in!

I make salsa with mine:
One large can whole tomatoes
one bunch cilantro
1 medium onion; quartered
1 or 2 fresh jalapenos, seeds and membranes removed (can leave some in if you want more heat)
salt to taste.
