Why should you have to like everyone just because they are of some relation to you?

No, we can choose our friends but not our family members. Of course, being thought snooty and stuck up happens sometimes when someone is shy and uncomfortable. People thought the same of me in high school when in reality I was just scared to death. Give her the benefit of the doubt and try talking to her, you might be surprised. But don't condemn her without a trial.

You're allowed to FEEL however you want, however, you need to be polite to all relatives.
Are you sure she's stuck up? I ask because a lot of shy people are thought of as being snooty when they are actually shy.
Have you ever tried to converse with her?
But, as I say, you have no obligation to become friends. You DO have an obligation to be plesant and civil.

Well, sure, and she's probably doing it to show you up... I wouldn't like that either!
That's too bad, because cousins are actually just like brothers and sisters.
I try to reach out to my cousins, but the ones I have are always suspicious that I want to borrow money from them . What a waste, and I told them so, even if I did borrrow money and then even never pay them, that is a still a small price to pay to have a cousin..
Their loss, (and yours) is all I can say to you. Still, try to reach out to her. Don't hate HER, just hate what she does.

Hun, i don't like a lot of people...so..what? am i going to die and go to hell? they are just "personal preferances" I like red apples compared to green ones." " I don't care for Jerks, but i like to hang with nice people." Woopie Crap! You will find out that you just won't happen to "love" everybody in the whole world! it's just a fact! so, "It's perfectly OK to "feel" like this..maybe after they "grow up and change(IF) things will be differant..and i'm sure there are enough "other people" around you for you to like and not to get your underware in a bunch about...lol....right? Nobody likes everyone.
Unfortunately while you can choose your friends you can't choose your family- inlaws included.
Keep being polite- don't lower yourself to her level.
If you don't like her that's perfectly alright - just don't dwell on it - try to keep positive.
Good Luck

if you don't like her that's fine , why waste time with people you don't like, and who don't like you when there is seldom enough time to spend with the people you do
