A scope on a shotgun would be best for rifled barrel out of a 20ga or 12 ga.A 410s range is not far enough to need a scope, with a slug or shot.

My first H&R .410 was from WAL-MART for around $65 about 22 years ago. I killed my first wild game with it. 20 years later my oldest son killed his first with it also. It has been a great gun I still shoot it every now and then for old time sake.
