They take their time. But you want my advice? tell your fiancé
to contact the US Embassy in your country by fax or e-mail. Tell him to write a VERY POLITE note asking if maybe your documents got lost or something because nothing has been received.

I repeat.. VERY polite. They have to reply to a US citizen!!

This was what my fiancé (who's now my husband) did when they were taking so long -or so we thought- to process my documents. Someone from the Embassy actually called me on the phone and after that everything went smoothly.

I would NOT get married in your country in December. You already started to do things the right way, don't screw them up now, ok?

Good luck

A K-1 is a fiancee visa am I correct? Why would he file for a fiancee visa if you are going to get married in your country? He needs to file for a spousal visa after the marriage.

you cannot ask for a fiance visa, get married ,and still come on a fiance's visa, you will be married, the application will not be the same one to use.
do one or the other. il you get married? first? you will have to start all over again, for you fiance visa will not be valid. as a spouse.

those type time to go through with the amount of petitians that they get within the week. it can often take anything up to several months to maye even a year at the worst......... if you wish to know more you could always go and see them or phone them up to see how the k-1visa is getting along.
