Here another great example fround by HonestReporting how a British newspaper uses a story about a Palestinian Football Team as a method to bash Israel and by resurecting the myth that Jews control the Government http://www.honestreporting.com/articles/45884734/critiques/new/The_Independents_Foul_Play.asp At least one thing - this again puts the rest of western media being controlled by the Jews - lol. Give me a break.

To: Da Man - There is always a problem with asserting an opinion that amounts to an accusation that you can't support with facts but at like you can. That is called slander, libel and/or defamation. It seems like you might not know what that is so here is a link so you can look that concept http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slander Newpapers are notorious with slandering people and then hiding their mistakes in less looked at pages.

Da Man - you post things in this section that have nothing to do with travel all the time - don't you think that is pot calling the kettle black - lol You comment belong in politics - I can only think you are trying to be funny because there is no substance to anything you write.

EUCitizen well its nice with that comment you admit to being and anti-Semite - that post the other day with the KKK link wasn't enough but I did give you the benefit of the doubt on it - no more - you are showing your true colors now.

British anti-Semitism has a long and ignominious history propogated first by the Catholic Church and then carried on by most subsequent Protestant religions which incorporated much of Martin Luther's virulent anti-Semitic doctrines. The burning of the Jewish community in the Tower of York is one particularly heinous example.

Ironically, it was a small but exteremly vocal and persistant group of English Protestants over a hundred year campaign who were directly responsible for the Balfour Declaration and the legitimization of the Jewish dream of return to the Holy Land which was ultimately to lead to the U.N. partition plan for Israel.

Get a copy of Barbara Tuchman's "Bible and Sword", an excellent history of that campaign, and you'll find there's still hope in the world for justice to triumph.

As for the current anti-Semitic media in Britain, the two most egregious offenders are the B.B.C. and the "Independent", both of which minimize or ignore completely Mohammedan outrages and, as you pointed out, highlight (and distort) any Israeli defensive actions.

We just have to "keep on truckin' " and keep the faith.

The fact that Israel, after two thousand years in exile, under the most horrendous oppression and persecution, has been re-born in our lifetime is the greatest proof that the promises made to Israel 4000 years ago are being fulfilled today.

. . . . but nobody said it was going to be easy . . . :-)

The key to our success has always been persistence and faith !

Why the surprise, it's well known that the British are extremely anti-zionist (i.e. thinly veiled anti-semitism).

The National Union of Journalists was one of the first British Unions to back a boycott of Israel at it's national conference (the AUT was earlier but it quickly merged with another union after the Union's member ship overturned the decision).

How can a Journalist's union boycott a country and still claim to be fair and impartial? However, the Union has to overturn the decision when the top 3 news broadcasters in the UK (BBC, ITN and Sky) all held their own votes and voted to overturn it, The Guardian was the most vociferous newspaper against the decision (surprising, I did a quick search for a years articles mentioning Israel on their website and came up with over 1,000 hits for a year- i.e 365 days minus Sundays and Christmas Day).

British anti-semitism is rarely overt, however, "anti-Israel" is acceptable.

I'm not saying that anti-Israeli is always anti-semitism but singling out Israel compared to any other country in the Middle East is anti-semitic.

EDIT: An addition, whenever the BBC interviews Israelis they always attempt to go for those who either barley speak English or have a very heavy accent and they never interview moderates just those who have extreme views. They loathed Netanyahu when he was PM because he speaks fluent English with an American accent.

Palestinians that are interviewed are normally moderate and speak good English with very slight accents.

quite there replaced into yet one reason and it replaced into The Versailles Treaty. without this treaty there might have purely been some scraggly tailed and pimple confronted Nazi members without the place to bypass yet reform college. The Treaty replaced into seen as an insult to the comprehensive German inhabitants making it common for somebody like Hitler to furnish them a feeling of fake proud and fake wish by using venting his and the German emotions of failure and impotence on the extra powerful Jews The Rothschild family members had for hundreds of years financed and subsidized the Pauper Princes of Europe and had garnered by using default ( The Filthy Lucre element ) countless the wealth which might extra feed the flames of non secular and racial hatred

Jews will always be the big bad people of the world. It is like that stupid book The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. People really believe that crap.
We control everything, we have money, we kill people etc etc. The same accusations have been around for hundreds of years and sadly, some of those accusations have led to the deaths of millions of Jews over the years.
What I don't get is, if we did control everything, why did so many of us get killed in pogroms, the holocaust etc.
Amazing.

Once again, thank you so much for posting something that is relevant, interesting, and offensive to nobody.

The example you use is a common occurrence in the UK; I have countless examples and honestly, it's enough to make any rational and fair person scrrrreeeeeeeammmmmmm...!!

And I think that things are far worse in the UK than in most other countries, because at least in places such as Canada, France, America and other countries, you do get to read some positive things about Israel. In the UK, there is a real dislike for Israel - usually from people who hold false beliefs about the Jewish state such as 'it's a huge country!'...!

Have another star!

Would you happend to have a link to the original copy of the british newspapers article?

This link that you provided looks like a reaction to the article.

At any rate im sure Israel may have been invlovled in limiting the travel of the Palestinian football team(on one level) as they are greatly involved in monitoring the borders of Gaza and watching over who gets in and who gets out that is without a doubt.

But i would be careful watching who you call anti semtiic as we all know the British news media is famous for sensationalizing petty thing's and taking them out of context, so they can make article after article on them and fill up there news papers.

Remember that Britons are one of the most viciously anti-Jewish people in the world. They were the very first country in Europe to expell the Jews (1290), and whole slaughters of Jews took place in the Middle Ages, before the Jews were expelled, such as an event at York in 1190, where Jews had escaped to a tower keep before a crazed Christian mob, the tower was burned with all the Jews inside. During the Crusades, English "knights" (chivalrous deeds, huh?) erased whole Jewish communties on the way to "the Christian" Holy Land, not to mention France and of course, Germany, doing the same to their Jewish populations. The earliest Christian accusation of blood libel was in England, a boy called William of Norwich. Later all the Jews in Norwich were found slaughtered in their homes. Then who could forget the libel of Little "Saint" Hugh of Lincoln who was murdered by the Jews for his blood then dumped in a pit? A story expanded by England's "great" writer, Geofrey Chaucer. 19 Jews were then executed under a forced confession. During the Holocaust, RAF pilots from "Her Majesty's" country, refused to bomb the Auschwitz deathcamps, or even the railroad lines leading up to it, even though they were flying sorties only 5 miles away. Their reason? The people being exterminated there were obviously not valuable enough to fight for. Many British sympathized not totally with the Germans (for their country was being attacked by Hitler of course) but sympathized with his racial policies, most notably againt the Jews. Indeed, Britons are racial Germans, mixed with barbarian Celts and other various people. Then we of course know the stories of the British occupation of Israel. Boatloads of Jews fleeing the Holocaust as it was happening was turned back ( imagine this, a non-Jew Briton telling frantic Jews that they cannot enter their own land?). The boats secured for their rescue were not even ocean-going safe, and one boat turned back by British Authorities, eventually ended up sinking somewhere between Israel and Cyprus. 900 Jews drowned. And we know that even after the Holocaust, the British sent Jewish refugee boats back to... where? back to the ports in Germany! After the holocaust, the Brits attempted to stop Jews from entering Israel and executed hundreds of men, women, and children on suspicion of being Lehi conspirators, etc. Fact remains that not-only to Jews, but Britain has been at best cruel to every nation it has come in contact with, and no wonder they are so disliked here in the United States. British media is anti-Jewish? Big surprise, dude.
