I think its really cool. Right now the average person cant tell the difference between Busch and old Cup cars. They look the almost the same. The guys running up front are the same in both series. This will help the Busch series get back to being a development series for young drivers and not just extra practice for Cup guys.

Pony Cars Coming To Busch Series: NASCAR hopes to inject new life into its Busch Series by changing the types of cars raced, beginning as early as 2009, according to multiple sources familiar with the project. If plans go according to schedule, the next-generation Busch Series cars will be Chevy Camaros, Dodge Challengers, Ford Mustangs and an as-yet-to-be named Toyota model, sources said. Ford overhauled the Mustang as a 1960s-retro model in 2005, to positive critical and commercial results. Chevrolet and Dodge will release similarly retro-themed Camaros and Challengers, respectively, by the 2009 model year. The Mustang, Camaro and Challenger all are two-door coupes with rear-wheel drive and available V-8 engines, a hugely popular combination in the halcyon days of 1960s muscle cars. A switch to these cars - plus whichever model Toyota chooses to campaign - would make a huge amount of sense, as it would help the Busch Series have its own distinct identity apart from Nextel Cup and help remove the stigma of the series as "Cup Lite," as some call it now. Sources familiar with the project said NASCAR has discussed the idea of switching cars with the manufacturers and has received a positive reception for the idea.(SPEEDtv.com)(9-15-2007)

Might just be the change needed for the Busch Series not being Cup Lite/

i've got been asserting an analogous element! i think of those Challengers could look distinctly awe-inspiring interior the previous Petty purple and blue paint activity. And a Dale Earnhardt black Camaro could be a sight to behold. i'm confident that Matt "Pray For Rain" Kenseth and something of the Roushketeers could have some relaxing with the Mustangs. keep the Priuses for aspects-chasing accountability interior the pits. How lots lead time could be mandatory to make this transformation?

I like the idea but am curious how well those cars will handle. It's going to be a completely new idea with new setups and notes. I'm sure aerodynamics is going to be completely different. It will make it harder for the "bushwhackers" to go there and be competitive as they will be completely different cars. Also I'm curious as to what cars Dodge and Toyota will use as their equivalent. It's going to be interesting. Might even be a mess for the 1st year till things get worked out. Nascar loves changing things up to where the teams never actually figure out everything. They are always having to work to figure things out. There is no such thing as a happy medium unless they are ahead of other teams early in the season.

I think that will be really cool. It's not definite but expected in 2009 when there will be Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers being made again by the big 3. Toyota will prolly use the Solara coupe.

That would be so KEWL. One of my major complaints with NASCAR is that you can't tell the different makes of cars from each other. The COT only made this worse.

They could race rocket ships and who would care. Let the busch drivers compete against drivers of the same ability. I havn't watched a busch race since it has become a nascar race.
