Why, you got one that needs adopting?

Honestly, I don't think my husband would ever feel comfortable adopting (it's not for everyone) unless it were a child we both knew and both knew needed lots of help that we could provide. As a teacher, there are certain kids that I would adopt in a heartbeat if need be. It takes a special person to take in children when they're older like that. My hat goes off to anyone who does it for the right reasons. :)

Yes, I would.

Okay, so I'm only 16 right now, but I've always planned on adopting children. Why not help people when you get the chance right? Making someone a part of your family when they don't have many other people to count on is an amazing thing, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one out there who thinks so.

If circumstances presented itself to me where I felt nothing else I did would be good enough, then yes. I don't think I would actively seek out looking for an older child though.

Most people just want babies and young children because they don't come with emotional baggage. It's easier to raise the little ones.

I think it would be a great challenege to adopt an older child, one with much heartache and strife, and when it comes down the wire, it would be very rewarding to know you've made a difference in the life of an older child.

yes I would the point of adoption isn't to fill some selfish I have to have a kid need but to provide a loving, stable home for a child. I would also adopt disabled children.

I don't know. If it is your kid then you should choose not us. There is nothing wrong with them. But most older kids don't have a chance at getting adopted so I think it is a nice thing to do

I don't see why not. 12 year olds need stable homes just as much as babies and younger kids do.

Yes. Give her a chance at starting her pre-teen & teen years with a family that she knows will be her for a long time.
