Just put the garlic powder into the mashed potatoes and mix well. Or crush the garlic cloves really well, saute them for a few minutes in butter and put that in your instant mashers. Add some parsley, too.

Make the potatoes according to the directions an add garlic. The amount of garlic would depend on the amount of potatoes being made.

Yes! I did this last night. Instead of adding extra milk to make them creamy after the potatoes sat for few minutes, I stirred in sour cream and sprinkled in some garlic. They were yummy.
You can also use mayo or Miracle Whip-type salad dressing or plain yogurt for the creaminess.
For the garlic, you can use fresh, or powdered of the minced stuff that comes in a jar.
Use whatever is easiest or happens to be in your kitchen!

While you're making the mashed potatoes without butter, melt the butter with some minced garlic. Pour it in when you whip them. If it's not garlicky enough, add some garlic powder.

Make potatoes like usual, mix in a little powdered garlic to taste. If you have fresh garlic, peel it,smash it, chop finely, stir a little in to taste.

it will be fine with the half and half. I hardly ever add butter to my mashed potatoes. I like them just fine with milk and salt. But since you usually add butter, I think you will be fine with the half and half. I love to add ranch dressing to mine too, if you have any.
