I like all four of the gospels, but especially John. John has John 3:16. Luke has the best Christmas story.

My personal favorites are Matthew Chapters 1 and chapters 27-28 talking about those who rose and the payoffs that took place! Why? the same is occurring right now to keep the Truth from being told! Luke, Mark, Acts, 1& 2nd Thessalonians and the promises to belivers, 1 and2nd Corinthians, Revelation, James, Titus to the down trodden Peter and Timothy

The other three are clearly derived from Mark, but it's hard to say.
I like the three that give the three conflicting sets of Jesus's last words. :)
Also, none of the gospels were written by anyone alive during Jesus's alleged life. Mark, the first one, was written around 70 CE, and the other three came later than that. So that guy below talking about the writer of 'John' being one of Jesus's "closest friends" is outright wrong. THAT gospel was written around 90-100 CE!

This is ridiculous, the Gospels Matt, Mark, Luke and John are not at all written by the named authors.
Mark was the first and was written over a hundred years following Jesus' death, passed down by mouth. The other 3 are copies with added info.
Eitherway, it's almost all a pack of lies, so I like none of them.

St John's Gospel, as it does at least try to say something different to the three synoptics. It is also the one most clearly loaded with Greek metaphysics, showing that it is not intended to be an accurate account of happenings, but a personal academic interpretation.

I've always enjoyed the gospel of John. While the others tend to emphasize similar themes John stands out. It is very focused on the nature of Jesus, and spends alot of time on His divinity. It really gives us a good look into who Jesus is.

The Gospel of John. Especially from chapter 14 - the end.
Why: because is it John's recollections of Jesus's comments on love and perseverance. There is more breath-taking poetry and fathomless theology in those chapters than you could ever spelunk with 1000 theologians and poets helping you day and night.
Beautiful stuff.

to Pëߧ..©®, it's Revelation. not a plural. plus Revelation is not a gospels.
to Tobias, James is also not a gospel.
The gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. A personal favorite of which I cannot decide.

My favourate is John .his advice is clear and straight to the point and not open to misinterpretation Even in the King James Bible which i prefer the language is still easy to read
(the new Bible translations seem to lose something by the use of modern words)
