at the sports club i go to not sure with the benchpress if its in kg, lbs or whatever. i lifted 90 of what it was, but if it was kg it would be 198lbs and my older brother did about 130 which if it was kg would be 286 and hes tall(about 6 ft 6) and very muscly. some people on here say there like 15yrs old and bench 300 lbs, so im not sure if its in kg, lbs ..?

If you pressed a bar with two 45s on each side (90 together), then you pressed 135 (45 lbs x 2, plus 45 for the bar). Generally, we are talking lbs.

many people claim to have high one repetition maximums. however in competition 90% of the lifts made by these people would not count.

a 15 year old that weighs less than 200 lbs and claiming to bench 300 lbs is highly unlikely.

As far as I know, it's in lbs. Here in Canada anyways. Just ask at the front desk of your sports club next time you are there if you really want to know.
