My family bought an adorable, playful, male Golden Retriever yesterday and I get to name him. What are good names for the little (but soon to be big) BOY?

I think animals name themselves if you just observe them for a few days. Don't be in a rush to name him, just interact with him and I think the perfect name will come to you. Enjoy your new dog!

wait a few days and let his personality come out a little bit. i named my dog champ when i got him but after a few days i realized that, that name was a little too strong for him. he was a shy little pup and he needed a softer name so i named him sammy instead a softer name in my opinion. so wait a few days

When naming your dog, you need something suitable! For instance, no one would ever name their dog max, skyler, precious, or lucky... its wayyyy to original. I named my dog Earl, and i now think its way to original! do something a little more fun like, i dont know, something to suit his personality! Choose wisely!

I like Koda, it means "friend".

Most of my dogs name themselves, call them puppy for a few days, and then a name just pops out of nowhere and sticks.
