It's about a dog that I really care about. She sometimes's pisses blood. The other day I was playing with her(she's not my dog, but a dog that I have a close bond to.) I snuck up on her like I usually do and this time she yelped in pain and bit me. I think she has pain in her lower back and legs. She also pees every few hours or she'll piss indoors. I asked how log she's been like this and found out it was like this for 3 years and she dosnt even have a vet. I brought up the vet and my suggestion was deemed as bullcrap.

Anyway.
I want to know what's wrong with her because I really love this dog.

She does need a vet. She probably has an infection, in her bladder which has probably spread to her kidneys, thats why her lower back is sore. I don't think she would be alive if this has really been going on for three years, she may have had something else wrong in the past but this infection is going to kill her. She just needs some antibiotics. Hope she can get the help she needs before there's any further damage.

The only option for this dog is a visit to the vet.

It takes time for the Yahoo servers to update the pages after a new question is posted. It can sometimes take a few minutes, if after a few minutes it hasn't shown up, use F5 to refresh the page. Your computer maybe showing you old pages that are still in its cache, using F5 will force it to get the new page.

She might have a Urinary tract infection.. Might be any number of things.. Why don't you offer to take the dog to the vet yourself.. Just a regular check up even.. You are talking say $100. Or split the cost with the owners..

There is obviously something wrong with this dog. Offer to pay for the vet visit yourself, and if the owner still refuses, call the ASPCA on them. They are being negligent by not taking an obviously sick dog to the vet.

I think you know we'll all say take the dog to the vet. There is no way anyone on here could possibly know what was actually wrong with the dog.
