Ugh god, another person with an unrealistic dream job.

Get a proper job and work for money like the rest of us.

Welcome to the all new "Yahoo Statements" website.

*sigh*

Sophie Dahl was size 14 and 5ft 11.

Truth is most people can't be a model because they don't "look" like a model and being discovered by an agency is kinda like being a piece of hay in a haystack waiting for someone to pick a certain kind of hay from the stack and not a needle.

Instead of trying to be a model, try to be happy with yourself. Most girls I know, including my girlfriend, are size 12 - 14 and 5ft 7 and they are pretty damn hot. None are models.

Also being able to be a model isn't the same as being an attractive person.

Models come in all shape and sizes. Contact a modeling agency in your area to get more information. Just remember modeling is a very competitive field so make sure you have other plans in mind.

you dont want to be a model. They are constantly criticized, and they cant eat anything, and they always look mean and their look is forced upon children to make them think thats how they should look. That is how eating disorders start. A kid sees a model and wonders why she doesnt look like the model does, then she decides she is fat, and starves herself. The whole idea sickens me. Models should represent everyone, not just the really skinny people. Not everyone looks like that, and not every one has to look like that to be beautiful.

youre too short to do catwalk modelling and and too 'fat' to do catalogue modelling. but you're perfect for the real world.

you could be a hand or beauty model. like those high fashion shoots of girls with amazing make up on. but you have to have either a very unusual or beautiful classic look. if you have nice hands with long fingers and no cuts, or nice feet you could do feet or hand modelling. look into it

OMG How are handling the disappointment????? However will you go on in life??? I mean the ONLY job out there that means ANYTHING to ANYONE is being a model! Why would you want one of those horrible jobs where you actually help people who are hurt or disabled or lost or in danger? Why would you want one of those awful jobs where people respect you for being intelligent, competent and articulate? Why would you want a job where people think of you as brave or daring or strong? To think you might have to slum it with some of the best and the brightest this world has to offer instead of getting to hang around with a bunch of anorexic, dsymorphic, single minded, selfish, and simple people who just happen to have received the right genes in life to qualify them for a job.... Poor you. The TRAGEDY!

Maybe you cant be a catwalk model as most are a bit taller than you, but it doesnt stop you in other areas like catalogues. However your figure sounds in good proportion for someone of your height.

You sound perfect to me.

These agencies and designers seem to want women to look like 12 year old boys. It's not you, it's them that's at fault, and the world for letting them away with it.

yeah thats about right
if you loose weight you could do catalogue modelling? some models such as kate moss are 5'6" - 5'7", but she is an exception, if you are really gorgeous you could be too. there is lots of different types of modelling, you could be a plus size model, or a parts model, but generally for runway modelling you need to be 5'8 +, ideal height being 5'9, and of course skinny, which i don't think you are, you sound about average, but if it really is your dream then you can still persue it because you can lose weight and like i said their are exceptions. good luck
