I recently got two four month old kittens from the humane society. They have both had their rabies shots and have been spayed and neutered, but i still have to take them for distempers. The girls feces is brown and comes in tubes, but the boys feces seems chunky and orange =( what does this mean?

Orange could mean blood, or something that cat's eaten. This is yet another question for a vet - at least take a sample for them to have a look at. Without seeing the poo and the cat, and being vets, how can people on here possibly tell you what's going on?

EDIT: Yes.... I think there are some answers on here that perfectly demonstrate what a pointless place this is to ask medical questions. Even Artemis's answer, which is at least well meaning - an orange cat having orange poo?!?! (just so we're clea, ingesting ginger fur would not turn faeces orange)

Are they getting the same food as each other? Is the one with orange feces orange colored? If the cat is orange, it is probably digesting its fur after it grooms itself. This could be a problem, so take your cat to the vet. If this isn't the case, the cat has probably found some sort of food or plant outside that is turning its feces orange. Any which way it is, take your cat to the vet, and try to bring a sample of the feces that is fresh so it can be analysed for bacteria.

I think that is a type of easily treated protozoa, I forgot the name of it but your vet can dose your cats with some banana flavored liquid. You should have both done since it is an easily transmittable disease and they both probably have it. Sterilize their litterbox with bleach before you let them back in the house after their vet treatment.

It is something that is fairly easy for the vet to treat, don't worry.

It means delicious orange kitty poo for you to enjoy. You should be happy your kitty is making nice presents for you. The orange ones taste just like candy canes. I don't suggest eating the brown ones though. They taste like poo.
