or murder, if we all are going to die and decay in the end? I mean, all you would be doing is just speeding someone's time up, that 's it.

So why is it wrong?

Its wrong to kill a fellow human but its right to kill chickens, cows, pig, turkey for food?

Makes you wonder.

In the beginning... there was no right and wrong. Then commonsense prevailed.

It's wrong to kill because it causes suffering. Many people probably depended on the person that was killed, they were probably attached to them. When the object of their attachment is removed, they go into a state of mind known as grief, a condition that can be severely psychologically damaging. Grief is lessened if the bodily decay is gradual instead of sudden, because the person can lessen their attachment to the person as they fade away, when they realize that it is bringing them suffering. When you kill someone, those who are attached to them have no chance to adapt, and usually fall into a deep state of mourning. This state can also cultivate hatred and anger towards the murderer, and the act may be reciprocated, causing even more grief. This is the begginning of bad karma, a cycle of grief, hatred, and violent actions...

Aside from the fact that God forbade murder, it has a lot to do with rights.
There truly are certain God given rights among man. You have a right to your own thoughts, you have a right to privacy, you have the right to lord over your own body. Marriage is an exchange of rights.
Rape is stealing the rights of someone else. Murder is also stealing those rights.
We also have a right to protect our rights. Makes sense to me that's why there is a division between killing and murder. Murder is an act for ones own selfish reasons. Killing also covers things like war. If another tribe is attempting to murder your tribe, you kill or be killed. That's not murder.
If you kill to keep the enemy from killing, that is not murder. That is not for selfish reasons but to stop the selfish reasons of another.

As for time. Who are we to say?

Because "no man is an island" as it has been said. Human beings cannot survive well on their own. Our ancestors (evolutionarily speaking) became tribal creatures in order to survive. Within a tribal society it would do us little good to be killing each other. It is in our better interest to work together. Those who kill others in a society usually don't last long.

because your taking away that persons right to life.
regardless if they have been born or already out of the
womb. no one has the right to say who dies unless
they murder someone else. then they forfeit their own
rights.

this is a very disturbing question. no one has the right
to take someone elses life from them, regardless of
how pathetic that life may be.

it is part of the 10 commandments.
sixth commandment : do not murder

If You are serious, then You are a dangerous person.

I do not intend to die and decay. That's what my body will do, but i am not this meat suit. I will be somewhere else when that happens.

By the original translation, it is wrong to murder. That speaks to intent. If you intend to take away a life (or shorten it), that does not belong to you, with no real provocation, that's wrong. Killing in battle or self defense or for food (in the case of animals) is not proscribed. It is needed for survival.

Why is murder wrong? The life given by God is not yours to take.

Is that not somewhat similar to performing an abortion, after the fact?

The problem I see with ending another being's potential for Life is that...well, it ends their potential for Life. Since Life is about manifesting potential into existence, it becomes dang near impossible for a person to do much manifestin' after you remove their potential.

Because anything thats alive (living) has the right to live out its natural life. Its wrong because we have the right to live.Only the bearer of life can give it or take it away from ones self.

It is wrong because none of us has a personal right to take away the life of another human being. Since none of us can create life, neither do we have the right to extinguish life. The sacredness of human life is important to remember. Today, life is very cheap
