I worship God.
The funny thing is, 2000 yrs ago, they called that character in their old stories "The creator of the universe." Now we realize how off they were in their human, mortal view of God.
2000 yrs from now, what do you suppose they will say about our view of "the creator of the universe"?
God is by definition too big for our brains to take in; no matter what picture we have in our head, it will only be a tiny shard of a true picture of God. As we as a species grow and advance physically, psychologically, and mentally, hopefully we also grow spiritually. So at least in theory, our small incomplete ideas of God will always be growing and developing.

The Christian God IS a character in an old story (The Bible)
So if that is an acceptable God to worship, so is Zeus. To those of us who worship the Gods of our ancestors it is NOT obvious that the God of the Bible is more real than ours.

I give thanks to God and I ask God when I need help. And, yes, I do get answers.
The funniest one was the dog. I'd been searching my house, tearing it apart really, trying to locate something I had to have. I was finally desperate enough to ask for help and I'd no sooner muttered the prayer than I felt a tug on my leg. There was MY NEIGHBOR'S DOG who had come in through my open front door and THERE WAS THE LETTER I was looking for on the floor next to the dog.
Thank you, Lord. :) I would never have looked there.
