My daughter will be turning 3 in December, She was always considered a 'good eater', but my question is, can she eat TOO much?
My daughter is healthy, very active, and doesnt have an ounce of fat on her. Yet when it comes to eating, she will eat about 3 drumsticks of chicken, macaroni, and pick and poke at veggies. I understand that her stomach is about the size of her fist, but when she gets done eating its almost impossible for all that food to fit in her. Is this ok? She stops when she's done, but i dont think ive ever seen a child eat so much?

oh and not only that, once she eats a big meal, if she see's someone else with more food she will go and beg like she hasnt eaten in years.

Lol, she's got a high metabolism. Her activity is requiring more energy. I wouldn't worry, just don't allow her gorge all at once, that's a bad eating habit. Give her smaller portions more times through out the day, even if that means she eats 5, 6, or 7 times through out the day.

Have you spoken with her pediatrician? If she's still skinny and active, I think she's probably okay, but have you seen on Dr. Phil the children who have an eating disorder that causes them to eat all the time?

I think your daughter is just active, and growing like a weed, and needs the extra calories.

So long as you're packing her with nutritious food, the only worry I have is how much she eats at one time. I would rather feed her 5 smaller meals, just so her poor stomach doesn't get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of food she consumes now.

Congratulations. You have a healthy baby, active, playing, and she's hungry and eating. I know a lot of moms who would pay lots of $$ to have what you have.

Maybe you can disguise fruits & veggies. Frozen grapes & bananas (banana pop), apples with peanut butter to dip them in (dipping is really fun). There is also a cream cheese dip in the produce section that is irresistible. Even non-fruit eaters like to dip any type of fruit in this. You put a spoonful on her plate, and show her how to dip it, she'll have lots of fun and get her fruit, too.

For veggies, my husband has tricked his Sunday school class to eat veggies instead of cookies. You have to eat two carrot or celery sticks and then you can have your cookies. Then he opened up the ranch flavored dip. The kids went wild. They loved it! May I have another carrot stick, please? And they completely forgot about the cookies!

She'll go through "growing spurts" where she eats more, then less. You may just be in the "more" and don't notice the less because it's not so much less.

As far as the veggies, put them on her plate 1st then add the rest of the dinner. My kids think "snacks" are carrots w/a sprinkle of ranch dressing or cut up cucumbers w/ranch.

So long as she's not overweight and she's burning up all that food, it's OK.

Thats how my son is and he is skinny. He will eat at home and then if I take him to my parents or to my in-laws while I go to school he will eat another meal there...they are just hungry and burning all that energy...just off her more carrots or fruit to much on if she is still hungry...my daughter is 1 and she is a little heffer! For breakfast she just ate 2 eggs, 2 sippy cups of milk and then she just went upstairs and brought her treats down and wanted to eat more! and that is breakfast for a 1yr old...and she is not fat either...

It is most likely just a stage that your daughter goes through.
But I would consider you lucky.
My cousin doesn't eat a single bit of anything expect Cheetos, Pop-Tarts, Waffles, and Chicken Nuggest.
It's frankly unhealthy, but since you're daughter is healthy and skinny, what do you have to worry about?

My Neice is ten years old, eats everything (Except Sushi)
And she weighs 57 lbs.
My sister says it's genetics. :D
I'm surprised she's not Over 100 lbs. But she get's exercise and is a strait A Student. So I guess she's fairly healthy.

If your daughter has a high matabolism this is normal. My eight month old eats like a piggie too. If you have any doubts check with your daughters pediatrician. Good luck

Children at different growth spurt will eat more. As long as she has no indigestion or side effects. It is alright. But make sure she is eating well - balanced meal.

If your child isn't overweight, but very active, it's because she's burning off all those calories! She needs the fuel for her active lifestyle!
