Does this information go on a CRB check in the UK, if they say, take your name. And you're not searched or taken in, they just want to know what you're doing (in my case waiting for a lift home whilst intoxicated). Its important for work reasons. I'm not sure what information I gave them but I did panic, told them to stop bugging me, and ran off.

I think I hid behind a dumpster, but I dont believe I would have been able to get very far if they had wanted to catch me. I was standing by the road looking like a hitchhiker/rent boy so I dont think I was in the arrest bracket, just panicky.

You dirty git you certain guys are so promiscaous!! They were probably ignorant or if not laughing at what you was doing. The only thing with something like this is time to wait and see you will never know until they come knocking. Personally due to the police's ignorance & time constraints they will probably wont take it further. They're do a check 4 any previous convictions if none then that's it end of. Also who is to say you were waiting 4 what you were waiting 4? You are just not that type of girl sorry man! Luck be with you.

Being stopped by police for being drunk is for your safety. Its not an offence to be drunk and incapable, but it makes you vulnerable. Even those arrested are just taken to a place of safety to sober up and then are released.
There is no conviction unless you commit an offence while drunk. Running away from police is never a good idea. You personal details are checked to confirm identity and to see if you are local and maybe be droped off into the care of a family member. The last thing we want is the cells full of drunks.

The only things which are listed on your CRB record are convictions. Formal cautions, warnings and reprimands do not count as convictions, but do appear on your Police National Computer (PNC) record, which is only available to courts, police, proabtion, etc NOT to employers. Nothing else is recorded long-term, believe me the police don't have time to record the details of every person they stop!

No you should be OK - BUT - running off is stupid. If they had intended to take you in it would have resulted in two charges.
Refusing to give your name, address etc is enough to arrest you.
It is quite possible that your details may have gone on a local intelligence bulletin and the person who said that your details will not be recorded is very, very wrong!!!
Time to consider your future conduct is it not?

Well convicted of anything, but running away will arouse interest and could be seen as resisting arrest, although if you where drunk they were probably glad to see the back of you. The police are really ok, you know

Running away ,you evaded police custody,or possible arrest.they would normally just check you are ok,not up to mischief and able to get home under your own steam. If you are legless, they normally put you in a cell, for your own protection for the night, and let you out in the morning.

cops have better things to do than put a drunk person through the system. your ok dont worry. if you've ever been drunk and a bit mouthy and had an RUC man pull his gun out and point it in your face then you can worry. otherwise your allright.
