After basic and AIT, you will be assigned to a Unit.
There is a chance, some of the people you went to basic with, might end up at your first duty station.
There is a better chance that some of the people you were in AIT will end up in your forst duty station.
But generally, you are going to be assigned to squad, section or post at your new duty stations and the people already there will be your new friends.
In four years of service, I have meet just one person i went to basic with, and I didn't like him in basic.
Two other people I went to AIT with ended up at my first base.
But we worked in different duty sections, and had different work hours.
So while we remained friends, we didn't hang out together afterwards.

Don't hold on to relationships in the military. They are only temporary, and the people you train with will be going their seperate ways after graduation. Some will still be around, but it's rare that two or three from the same training company follow the same path, after graduation.
The services are supposed to be training new recruits about the devastation one feels when losing a close comrade. Closeness is not advised, and it's not healty, for the reasons stated.

Nope, Basic Training - Boot Camp instructs all the basic entry skills service members will require. Following that instruction the troops split up and go to various service schools that will teach them the specific skills of the career field they signed up for on their contract. Aviation School, Armor School, Artillery School, Infantry School, Medical School, Communication School, etc. You might have one or two people from basic with you, but for the most part you'll be with a new group of troops.

it depends like when I got to reception in Ft. Sill oklahoma for a week where you do in processing I met a lot of cool people we got split up when it was time to go to basic cause they could only take 100 people to ship off so that left like less than 15 of us we had to wait till Thursday to get shipped off cause they only did that Tuesday and Thursday so I went to basic with a few people I was in reception with we all still got split up in basic so in my platoon I had about 2 people I went to reception with the rest were in differnt platoons but in the same area we still saw each other...... After basic and we were getting shipped off to AIT in Ft. Leonardwood Missouri I meet some of those people again that was in reception with me that had the same MOS and now that I'm done with AIT me and 3 other guys are being stationed in Korea we ship out the 27 of this month so yes you will see or maybe work with people you know if your lucky the army is smaller now days that's what I've been told my dad said if you stay in long enough most likely you will run into people you know again... Hell you might get lucky like my drill Sgt. From basic he and his roommate have been in the army for xboyt 19 or 16 years they been to Iraq together twice and my Drill Sgt said when he found out his buddie was going to become a drill Sgt he decided to become one to that's a lucky case tho there both 88mikes motor vhichle transportators

There is a program where you can enlist with a buddy that will be stationed at the same place as you, but other then that, its needs of the Army. Some may end up where you go, others fo to the places they selected or were assigned.

It depends on the duty station you go to. If you and your friends are assigned to the same duty station then yeah, ya'll will get to see each other. But what usually happens is different duty stations are assigned. But it's ok because the people at the various duty stations are normally pretty cool

I didn't see many of the people I went to boot camp again except in passing. Friends you make at your first post or ship will probably be long time friends. Until you are done with your intitial schooling, everbody is going in different directions.
g-day!

You will be working with anyone that gets stationed at the same base as you. There may be a few of your buddies that end up with you, but most likely you will get to meet new and interesting people wherever you end up!!!!

Sometimes yes and sometimes No-depends on luck and where you two (or more) are being trained and stationed. Odds are you will into some of them over time but after recruit trainingand school it is really just luck on seeing them again.

After AIT/schooling it will all depends where you get stationed. Even if you get stationed together at the same base you might work at different areas.
