The way we do it in our house is if you're hungry too, go ahead and make something you'd like to eat, but enough for two. She probably has eaten at the party, so don't be too surprised if she's not terribly appreciative. You know her best!

Yes - bet she'll appreciate that! She's probably been running round like an eejit all day after the wean! My husband's a chef and everyone says "Oh, you must get fantastic meals"! To which I reply "Oh, I do - but I cook them"! But, fair is fair - at the moment, hubby is doing the ironing which I absolutely HATE but for some reason he LIKES! He says as long as I keep feeding him, he's happy to do so! BTW: If I want something special with a nice sauce, he makes it, no problem!

Being a mum myself i think that you should make her some dinner. After being out with the little one she will want or need to wind down. It is nice to be looked after and share the tasks that you both have.
I am sure if roles were reversed she may do the same for you?

Yes. She will love that you were so considerate. Make it a special occasion and let he know how happy you are that she's back home with you. Even if she was only gone for a few hours it will show her how much she means to you. That can only serve to strengthen your bond.

Yeah - go on. She'll probably enjoy a large glass of wine as well if she's been at a kids party all day. You sound like you deserve a drink too!

Most probably she has eaten at the party. To avoid disappointment later, just keep instant foods for her. If she haven't eat dinner, you know what to do.

Yes, or phone for a takeaway seeing as you've been busy all day.

Yes, show her how much you love. I'm sure she will return the favour in some way.
