I want something the goes with dark wood trim. It is stained like a dark walnut. The front room raps around to the kitchen and down the hall so it would be all the same color... I really do not want tan or sage green.

Light, mellow colors draw light. Something in a pale yellow or blue would not only draw light into the darker areas of the house but will also make the highlights of the wood stand out better.

I noticed a house on TV the other day they pained a butter yellow. It went thru the living room, and down a hall way. It was bright and beautiful.

How about a dusty blue color or I am thinking of trying a lighter shade of burgundy in mine. Mine is a shade of yellow now, and my friends say it looks like white walls in a smoker's house. I do not smoke.
