For the past year my brother has been having severe episodes every other week or so with severe head-aches and vomiting. He goes every other week w/o eating and it's really bad for him. his headache is so bad during that week that if you talk to him he rolls on the floor in pain. We've been to every doctor in our area and we don't know what to do. So, if anyone has any ideas at all, maybe a doctor out there or someone who has any idea what to do, reply- please.

This sounds serious. I think you should go to a doctor who specializes with the brain, a neurologist. If you can't go directly to one ask your doctor to refer you. If hw/she won't give you one, try to get a second opinion.

Is the pain on one side only? If so, those are migraines!! Migraines are brutal for males!! He must stay in a quiet, dark room. If they ARE migraines, any doctor should be able to treat him with medicine like fiorinal. If the headaches are NOT on one side only, get to a PAIN doctor. You have to get these headaches figured out. Could they be stress of tension headaches?? Those would be across his forehead. Good luck finding the right medicine. You're a good brother. :)

Something is wrong for sure. He needs to go to the ER. I too have the exact same problem as your brother.. I would vomit, and the er gave me a prescription of PROMETHEAN 25MG SUPPOSITORIES. I used the medicine and my headache left. I ran out of the medication and slowly but surly my headache returned. Doctors don't know why, or what causes these horrifying migraines. I know they make me wonder if living is worth the pain.

i seen this on an episode of house. i cannot remember what was the kids' deal...... it could be serious. i would have it checked at the DR. also, there is this drug that causes migranes, and some drug to take away the effects of migranes. and if he is puking, that's not a good sign. i will try to get back w/ you, w/ a diagnosis.... hope it can be fixed....

Dear Seal3us, look up everything you can about CVS and CVSA. Cystic vomiting Syndrome! It is rare and hard to diagnose. My son has been sick for years and I just found out about CVS.
