Actually He did show his existence 2000 years ago when Jesus walked the earth. And funny enough, most people chose not to be converted and many cheered His crucifixion. I have no doubt that if God walked the earth again, He would be labelled a quack and put away in an institution.
He does want you to believe in Him, and I believe He feels there is enough eveidence for you to believe. But what happens after that is up to you.

Actually the only person in the Bible who saw a part of God was Moses and he only saw God's "hinder parts". He was temporarily blinded from the light.
The Bible also tells us that anyone can look around at the beauty of the earth and know that there is a God.

What would be the purpose of faith if He just popped up in the open every day?
And besides, He DOES show is existence in the beauty of His creation that surrounds you.
St Thomas Aquinas said:
We see that things which lack intelligence, such as natural bodies, act for an end, and this is evident from their acting always, or nearly always, in the same way, so as to obtain the best result. Hence it is plain that not fortuitously, but designedly, do they achieve their end. Now whatever lacks intelligence cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being endowed with knowledge and intelligence; as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer. Therefore some intelligent being exists by whom all natural things are directed to their end; and this being we call God.

He shows His existence everyday in the heavens, in creation and in the miracle of life. All the evidence points to the Devine Creator, not to evolution or happenstance.
We either choose to believe or we choose not to believe. The decision to go to heaven or hell is ours alone. God does not interfere. It would be like forcing someone to love you instead of them loving you because they wanted to.
Only narrowed mindedness can prevent someone from seeing Gods handy work in this universe. Don't be decieved by the lies of this world.
Jesus is the only way!

Because he wants you to have faith and believe he's here without showing himself, If you believe and have faith without seeing you will truly come to know his miracles and you will be ready to enter his kingdom with a true heart. If he shows himself then people will just believe in there head but won't be ready in there heart. He doesn't want that kind of person. He continues to work miracles so people will believe in him. Unfortunately a lot of people just brush these miracles off as coincidences.

God wants all people in heaven, but wants to know our hearts. Would you want to align yourself with people who`s heart and desire was not for you?We see him in true believers lives and there actions; remember a true Christian should act and be an example or like Jesus.Hell was created for the Devil not mankind, but it is who you are aligned with when you leave this world as to were you go.

God is so Holy, that no one can stand in the presence of His Holliness. Believing in God is not enough, even satan believe in God. The question is, do we trust and obey what God want us to do?

Its all Faith,If you saw Him then people would not have to have faith to believe, its kind of like the wind, you cant see the wind but you can see the evidence of the wind, you can see God but you can see the evidence in the the blessings of God.

Jesus came back to life, did the pharisees finally believe him? No, they paid the guards at his tomb to claim his body was stolen.
Unfortunately, even if God were to show himself to us, plenty of people would find other excuses for not obeying him.
