Get cord covers. They aren't that expensive....you can pick them up at Office Max or Home Depot. They are just a rigid plastic covering that can be cut to size. This will save everyone alot of hassle and heartache.

I know how you feel puppies are the same way always chewing on things. At your local pet store they make these things in the cat and dog section[i found mine in the dog] that look just like a cord, but its really a cord protector. They work really well and all you have to do is slip it around the cord. Its durable so its extremely hard for pets to chew through. And now the can't get electrocuted...isn't it great!

they do make rubber and plastic "tubes" to put on your electrical cords, but i'm not sure if they cover the entire thing?

never heard of cats chewing on cords.. do your cats have toys? you can get cat toys very cheap at all pet stores. they also like catnip.. put some in an old sock and tie the open end in a knot.

maybe your cats just need some toys?

The best thing I've seen is using the long flexible plastic tubing you can get at a hardware store to encase the lines.

An ammonia mixture should work. If not, let the cat find out the hard way.

Hey it sounds funny I know, but cats can't stand the smell of oranges! so a trick we use at my house is we soak cotton balls in orange oil, and stick them where we don't want the kitties to go, lol I thought it was the weirdest thing, but it worked!

Once they've tasted 110 volts (or 220, if you're in Europe), they'll stop.

Cord covers are a damn good idea.
