Immigration rocks. The Earth belongs to everyone and we should be able to go where ever we want. But we must also follow the rules, do it LEGALLY!!! Mexicans come here legally everyday as well as people from all around the globe. Hell, we let Arabs in after 9/11 so it is not like it is that hard to get in. Why let people stay here if they have such a blaitant disreguard for our laws?

Illegal immigration is not only NOT cool, but it's costing the taxpayers of this country BILLIONS!

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77

2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscale...

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscale...

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...

5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...

6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...

7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...
8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.
http://premium.cnn.com/transcripts/0610/...

9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States . http://transcripts.cnn.com/transcripts/0...

11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report:
http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

12. The National Policy Institute, "estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period."
http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/p...

13. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm...

14. "The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States ". http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml...

So using the lowest estimates, the annual cost of ILLEGAL aliens is $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 billion, then I say GET RID OF THEM NOW! We'll be ahead after the 1st year!!!

I understand your point and your questions, but some people make it about race and other issues. Yes it may be cut and dry to most but to others it isn't, and that's where the debate comes in. I am more on the side with illegals and I admit it. Here is why: I am married to an illegal immigrant from Mexico. She was brought here when she was a child and had no choice. Is it her fault? I don't think it is. Others will disagree with me, and that's fine. I have always felt the way I do even before I was married to her. Since I was born and raised in ghetto in Detroit I was always brought up to treat people the same, so I never really cared how someone got here, what color they were or anything as long as they are kind hearted. I admit that I feel that people that do HARDCORE crimes such as murder, drug smuggling, raping and the like should be jailed or deported or whatever. It gets me when people say that ALL illegal immigrants are like that because they are not. NOT ONE person in my wife's family smuggles drugs or kills people or anything like that. Their only crime is overstaying a visa or crossing a border. They all work (very hard also) they pay taxes and they get treated like crap because their employers know they cannot do anything about it. Do I expect people to change their veiws and beliefs for me... Not at all. I just wish some people would see the reality of the whole picture sometimes, but I know they wont. Where I live... Hispanic = illegal alien and that my friend is racism.

Immigration Rocks. Illegal immigration is not cool. But what brings these illegal immigrants to countries is the greed of the elite class of business owners trying to circumvent the laws regarding employment, taxes, and slavery. If the existing laws were enforced, any business employing these immigrants would be fined and jailed for tax evasion, along with other current laws. There are currently laws on the books allowing guest workers to be brought to the U.S. The problem comes from employers too cheap to follow the law. In Wisconsin, thousands of guest workers are employed every year, at resorts like the Wisconsin Dells. They are hired, get transportation paid to, and from thier homes abroad, and a legal, living wage, of which taxes are deducted, and remitted to the proper government channels. Some businesses try to circumvent these rules for the bottom line. These are the real criminals in the "illegal immigration" issue facing this country. It has been proven time and again, that these people do not want to break the law, but have no choice in order to survive. The majority of "illegal immigrants" send as much money as they can afford back to families still left in second world countries, like Mexico. And given the choice, would gladly move back home if there were only jobs to be had. What the hell were our political leaders thinking, giving all the manufacturing jobs we used to have here to China? We could have just as easily given them to Mexico. Of course, if we did that, these unscrupulous business owners would have to get thier slave labor from china, or some other less fortunate country in the world.

Well it's like this, with one question, and only because there are so many of them now...

Why is it cool to be in a gang? KKK, Triads, MS-13, Bloods, Crips, and so on. Pass their initiations, and you're in. But when you want out of it to make a better life for yourself, and your new family (girlfriend/wife, kids) and they'll kill you before that ever happens. Because then you know too much. So in the end... Is it really the cool thing to do?

But I sincerely agree with your statement whole heartily...

If you think "it is not like it is that hard to get in" then you don't know the rules. There are a handful of routes to legal immigration:

Marriage green card - requires that you marry a US citizen or green card holder - not easy to do from outside the USA

Family reunification green card - requires that you have an immediate family member who is a US citizen - either you do or don't. Also, in some cases, the waiting period is more than 20 years for processing.

Green card lottery - random chance of getting selected, but there are a lot of countries that are excluded from the lottery, including Mexico and about a dozen other countries which already have large populations of immigrants in the United States

National interest waiver - generally requires a graduate degree, although there are a few other routes that allow exceptional artists, performers, etc. in.

Investment green card - must invest at least $1 million in a business that employs at least 10 people. There are some exceptions that allow smaller investments in deprived areas, but in all cases, you need to be quite rich to use this route

So, the typical poor Mexican who wants to immigrate actually has absolutely no chance to do so legally. You may still believe that they have a blatant disregard for American laws and that they still shouldn't be allowed to stay, but don't accuse them of coming in illegally just because they can't be bothered to fill out some forms and wait a few months for a legal visa. That's just not the case.

Its not cool. I think the US should put a stop to all immigration until the illegal immigration issue is corrected-illegals are destroying this country. Once the illegal immigration issue is resolved then let others in legally but, only if they have an education or some kind of skills so they can bring something to this country in return for freedom, it isn't too much to ask.

To Felix Too Fast:

To respond to your moronic arguement, explain to me why it makes it fair that Spain had the audacity to flee past the oceans and take over the Aztecs land to reproduce themselves, imbecile. An outsider also took what is today Mexico and today you are even more relentless than we are hunting down illegal immigrants in your country. So before you lecture us about sharing the earth, practice what you preach at home first. So kindly, go F*** yourself.
Thank you

People are so closed minded and ignorant, just look at these answers! Do these people not know that this country is made of all Immigrants, and not only 200 years ago they were getting free land, and money to settle in America. Yes there is people that are stupid and break the laws, and don't give anything back to the United States, but even people born here into citizenship, meaning everyone white, black, asian, hispanic, can do it and its called tax evasion, while I do agree that Illegal immigration is in part wrongful. Everyone's done it, and procreated children, which have no knowlegde of the descendents or what country they originated from...

In the short term illegal immigrants pay into the Social Security system which is almost bankrupt.

They also provide recruits for the military.

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul's campaign has almost 4 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.

Ron Paul has stated that he wants very strong borders and he was appalled that our government had taken border guards off of our borders to send them to Iraq.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig8/haman3.html

This is his six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

Illegal "Immigration" is not cool.
Illegal Aliens basically only want Entitlements.
Illegal Aliens and the "Cheap Labor" spew is nonsense. Mr Illegal Alien comes to the US to get a low-wage paying job so he can still be eligible for US Social Services for his family. This costs the Legal US Citizens OVER $70B every year.

Explain to me why it makes it fair that Europe had the audacity to flee past the oceans and take over the Native Americans land to reproduce themselves??? In saying that bro, it is a perfect example of immigration and how far it is dated back.

It is just another tactic to show how greedy and self centered the Americans are when it comes to sharing this earth. Everyone is an outsider when they haven't realized that an outsider is the one who took over that land!!!

I respect all my brothers and sisters of this earth and there will always be room for them to live amongst me.
