I am a very spiritual person but my beliefs cannot be labeled with any religion...if I HAD to label them I suppose they come closest to Taoist. I was raised in Anglican/Episcopal churches and very much believed in it until I was older. Obviously my parent's influence didn't keep me in the same religion (other than my mother always taught me to question things in life and not follow because someone said to but because I believed it...granted, she didn't mean where religion is concerned). My ex is Catholic and I raised my children Catholic for a while, later Episcopal as my special needs child did not fit in with things at the Catholic church. I do not confirm or deny existence of god to my children, I let them decide if they believe that for themselves. I do teach them my core beliefs (which are fairly consistent through many religions and among atheists) which are mostly based on morality and doing the right thing. I do teach them that it is important though to do the right thing for the right reasons. As far as my children go, one is an Atheist, one is Christian and one is special needs and has extremely limited communication skills so there is no way of finding out about his feelings on intangible subjects.

I'm undecided.
I was raised with minimal religious guidance, and no "set" religion, then converted to LDS when I was 17, kicked out of the LDS church when I was 25.
Since my parents did not influence me religiously, I would have to say I don't know if they had any influence in that regard... I suppose if they had been devout Catholics or Muslims then I would be too... but that's hard to determine.
I know this is almost a non-answer, and I apologize.... but it's the truth =)

My religion is Christianity (Denomination is Catholic - a convert actually).
I was raised within a Christian home. My mother was raised Souther Baptist, my Father was raised Methodist. They did not encourage church, but they did not deny church.
For a number of years I attended a Methodist church, but left when I was told that I was "saved" - I thought that was something I had to decide on my own.
After years of no church, I finally found my Home in the Catholic Church. I have been a faithful and devout Catholic since 2005.
The influence my parents had on my conversion were by their actions. They treated everyone with respect and taught me that God will judge all by their actions. The faith that I chose is one that makes most sense to me.
Oddly enough, my sister - a non-denominations "fundy" gives me more trouble about being Catholic than anyone else that I know.

My religion is Witchcraft (and, for those who maintain that it is NOT a religious practice but only a magical practice, get out of the house more often - put the pop-"wicca" books down and talk to some real Witches...and BTW, Wicca is a WITCHCRAFT religion.)
No, I'm a Preacher's Kid - my dad was a minister in the Evangelical United Brethren church, and after he left the ministry, we were United Methodist.

I am a Christian. My parents believe in God, but I was not raised "in the church". My parents' spirituality is a mixed bag of everything from Christianity to Tarot Cards. I chose to explore Eastern Religions, Mysticism, various denominations of Christianity, etc on my own. I am a Christian by faith, choice, experience, and research. My parents had influence which they chose not to exert after I passed the age of 3.

Catholic, Western or Roman Rite.
Barely. Mother was a lapsed Methodist. Father a Christmas Catholic (means he only showed up at church on Christmas and Easter).
They had no influence. The evidence I uncovered on my way to a Th.D in Comparative Theology, another in Dogmatic Theology, a Ph.D in Anthropology and an M.S. in Geology with a specialty in Vertebrate Paleontology did that.

I am a Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh and Jain...my parents are the most unreligious and secular people on the face of the earth, so yes, I would still practice these religions because they never once encouraged me into religion.

Catholic
Yes
After examining many religions, I find Catholicism the fullest and truest. I think that if my parents were neutral about religion I would still be Catholic Christian

Thank God my parent raised me in Islam. If not, I don't know what my religion would be.
