You can do it 1 of 2 ways (that I know of):
1 - if you have a VHS/DVD combo unit, you can plug your camcorder into one of the input jacks and record it onto DVD (Or, put the cassette into the VHS portion and record the DVD from VHS) Then take the DVD and put it into your computer and copy the whole disk.
2 - If #1 doesn't apply to you, you can buy a Video Capture device that your comcorder plugs into, and copy directly onto your computer through that.

Yes there certainly is - but how you do it depends entirely on what type of camcorder you have - all types are different - so to get a detailed answer you need to let people know the make and type of your camcorder.
