Shame is, what if the rapture has already occurred over time (explaining mysterious disappearances that were never solved), and all of the Christians are still looking forward to some, magical ascent when it has already happened in a more subtle fashion, leaving them stuck here with the rest of us! Poor, deluded sinners...

You will have it, but only for a short time. Imagine what it is going to be like when those that are left all do what they believe is right, without limits or boundaries. Imagine the assaults, the rapes, the murders, the thefts and so on. what you are seeing now as far as a lack of morality towards each other is nothing compared to the time when does that have served God are gone. sure there will be "good" people left, but not enough to overcome those that will seek power through there immorality. Are you going to create your own utopia? What if it clashes with your neighbors view of what that means? Do you really think that when we leave to be with God, you are going to live in a better world? You are deceiving yourself for now, because when the time comes, it is not going to be party time.

Funny!
But, I agree with Hanknowaff - the whole "rapture", "left behind" thing was first proposed in 1827 by John Nelson Darby a member of the Plymouth Brethren. He proposed a "secret rapture", which, when you think about it, makes Christ's second coming a "second" second coming.

God has something special planned for you and we all get to watch, so until it happens(I'd tell you but I don't want to ruin the surprise) we won't be going anywhere. You all will stay here after the rapture, did someone neglect to tell this is where hell is located?

A planet populated by atheists only? Sounds a lot like hell.

You do realize what happens when Jesus does make His second coming dont you? This earth as we now know it will be cast away, as will the heavens and the seas.

Revelation 21
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

if it did happen, the rest of the world would be "rapturous" and celebrate like a Mardi Gras for a year

........No.... Sorry....!

(Jude 1:17-18-19) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

(Jud 1:18) How that they told you there should be = = MOCKERS = = in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

(Jud 1:19) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Thanks, RR

Will atheists please hurry and bone up on traditional Christian theology vs. popular Christian theology? The whole idea of the rapture was invented in the 1970s.

Well I would want to go to a new earth as the Bible says

since this one is falling apart.
We won't have to worry about the perversion of you know who to destroy the next one.
