I know there is an answer, so I am asking. If God asks us to fully trust Him why did DAvid run to the cave and hide from King Saul ? Just curious, I don't know the Bible verses well enough to know if it was God's command somehow ? When do we stay and when do we hide if God is our protector ?

That wasn't the only time that David failed his Lord. And yet God blessed him as he did no other king of Israel, even unto sending His Son to David's lineage.

Lesson there, folks. Listen up.

If even David, so beloved of the Lord, could s***w up, so anyone can and everyone will! It doesn't matter how it goes, there's gonna be times when your animal instinct for survival will take over and cause your trust in God to abate or even vanish. BUT, if you will recall yourself to Him and face up to your failure, ask forgiveness for the weakness of your faith, you're back on track with Him in that moment.

David did. Smart David.

David had a little rebellious streak, and liked to defy the lord, as we all know, there is no hiding. we need to listen to gods plan for us. remember he is merciful, he never gave up on david. bestowing upon him many blessings.
god is merciful, love, comfort.
