THIS WAS A TRICK QUESTION,THE MAN DID NOT HAVE REVERANCE OVER THE WOMAN UNTIL SHE SINNED.

Gen 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Depends on whether you believe he was with her when she ate the fruit. If yes, then he failed greatly. If no, then no. Being the spiritual leader of the home doesn't mean you control the people in that home. Eve received the same rules as Adam, directly from God. He did fail at being an example since he ate the fruit as well.

Yes, he did. Regardless of the cute brainwashing Eve was subjected to, Adam was the final word. Between the two of them, I feel Adams sin was accounted. Woman did not come before man, man came before Woman.

Adam was not a real person. He is the personification of man's imperfection. The creation story was written by the Jews during the second exile (the Babylonia) in a effort to explain why God's covenant was broken. Adam is the quintessential person. Created by God, living in God's domain yet tempted by greed and his free will makes hi imperfect.

of course he did. sin entered the world through adam, even though eve was the first to eat the fruit. the idea of a man being the spiritual leader of the household was there even in the beginning.

no. eve failed Her Test. one is responsible for ones own
relationship with ADONAI. one can't blame others for
ones own screw-up. adam failed when he took the fruit.
then they both accused the serpent.( satan always sticks
his two-cents in). pass the "buck" is an all time favorite.
i'm responsible for my own sins.

however, the parents Are responsible for what their child
-ren are and are Not taught. ADONAI Did tell them Not to.
we have a responsibility to learn and to be corrected
with love and dignity.

adam failed his own test, he should of said, " no eve, i
want to live!"

no I think he was weak in the heart where his wife is concered as most men are, and women say men rule the world , boloney!

It wasn't his job.

The wife is the spiritual 'leader.', or rather the more spiritual component of the couple.
This is why she is charged with bringing up and seeing to the children's education and performing (thus teaching to her children) many distinctly feminine rituals (such as taking challah, maintaining kashrut, lighting the shabbos candles/welcoming the sabbath) within the home.
