Atheism. Any other thought that conforms to traditional religion based on Christ or another God born on the 25th day of the 12th month is just another volume in the Encyclopedia of religions that were based on the same basic principles as catholicism.

Probably Islam. They simply say "convert to Islam or die," and hallelujah! Another Muslim!
If you count atheism as a "religion" (in much the same way you consider zero to be a number), then I suspect it is the fastest growing. People are beginning to speak out very openly about the irrational nature of the concept of faith. Understand that term, and you may join us. Faith is belief in the absence of evidence, or even in the face of evidence to the contrary. Where but in the field of religion would we have the slightest respect for such a standard of belief?

Thats hard to answer, because most religions keep ery poor records. For instance, estimates of muslims are usually based on population estimates and the notion that everyone of a given nationality is a muslim (and ignoring apostasy) - this is clearly nonsense.
In the US good records are kept, and the fastest growing religion is currently Wicca. It has even been recognised to the extent that Wicca symbology is now permitted in Arlington Cemetry. The BBC ran a good documentary on the rise of Wicca in America.
By contrast, though Christianity is dominant in America, it has lost about 1% of its follwers per year for the last 15 years, quite reliably.

Many people will tell you Islam, but for the life of me I can't find any hard statistics to back that up. The most recent decent facts I could find was from the 1983 Readers Digest Almanac, and a lot has changed since then. Islam is certainly the fastest growing religion in the US. But overall I think that Athiesm is skyrocketing
EDIT: In the end I think this is an impossible number to track

I believe the fastest growing religion is Mormonism, but that is only because they start with such a small base compared to Islam.
Islam adds way more believers, but as a % of total believers it is a pretty small number.
